You can come join the Turtle Tubing party at the tubing put-in spot or the Turtle Bus can pick you up and drop you off wherever you are staying in the Vail Valley for a small additional cost. Tubing the Colorado River is a must-do activity for everyone visiting the Vail Valley. Our trips are suited for guests of all ages and promise to provide a fun, safe, and scenic adventure unlike any other!

    Turtle Tubing is One of a Kind!

    We are Colorado’s exclusive full service tubing provider, offering top quality towable tubes and safety equipment. Experience our lazy river tours.  We are sure to provide you with an experience you won’t soon forget!

    History

    Turtle Tubing, LLC was founded by two guys who loved to spend time floating the historic Colorado River. With experience tubing in Florida & Arizona, they realized the Western Slope of Colorado needed the excitement, enjoyment, and memories of tubing the Colorado River. They’ve spent the last 3 years sharing their passion with Vail Valley guests and continuing to find new ways to grow the company. What started off as a small tubing operation run with just one bus has now grown into a multi-facetted company with three buses and multiple employees.

    Things To Bring

    • Must know how to swim

    • On River Shoes **NO FLIP FLOPS**
    • Towel
    • Drinking Water
    • A Dry Change of Clothes
    • Personal Coolers are Allowed
    • (Cooler Tubes are available for rent for an additional $10.00)

    Check In Information

    • Please arrive at 10:00 AM at Dotsero Exit #133 of I-70, heading west turn right at end of ramp.  Dirt parking lot on left before green bridge
    • Round-Trip Transportation is available on the Turtle Bus for an additional $10 from:
    • Vail (By Reservation Only)
    • Avon 9 am (Loaded Joe’s)
    • Edwards 9:15 am  (Woody’s Bar & Grill)
    • Length of float  is 3 to 3.5 hours

    Safety

    • Must know how to swim
    • Safety Tubers will be present at all times while on the water
    • We are goverened under Special Use Permit by the Bureau of Land Management
    • We meet all insurance requirements and expectations
    • We are CPR and First Aid Certified
